Uganda SAKSS Workshop — Knowledge Needs for Agricultural Policy & Program Design

The October 27th SAKSS workshop brought together key stakeholders in the agricultural sector of Uganda, in public sector planning agencies, and from policy research institutions to consider:

  • What research is needed to guide the allocation of public resources to agriculture under the Development Strategy and Investment Plan and in support of the broader development objectives articulated in the National Development Plan?
  • What research is required to ensure that the agriculture sector in general and MAAIF in particular can effectively make use of the public resources allocated to them for strong sectoral economic growth and broad poverty reduction?
